The Flamingo  House burst onto Hove’s creative scene in 2015, the brainchild of Artist Charlie Doodle and a decade later it is still one of the city’s most beloved workshop spaces and private‑home gallery. The Flamingo house & Studio offers creative workshops all year round and opens its doors to the public during the May Brighton Festival.

Celebrating the 10‑year anniversary of its inaugural Artists Open House (first held in 2016). Nestled on the Hove Trail in central Hove, The Flamingo House – Studio & Garden blends a charming interior with an expanding outdoor oasis. After a breath-taking 2025 renovation that added a new wing flowing seamlessly from indoor galleries to the garden, the venue now lets the elements become part of the artistic experience. Every year in May, visitors can lounge under exotic banana and palm trees, sample mouth‑watering food from the garden café, and explore garden‑placed ceramics, sculptures, and enjoy hands‑on workshops.
